WebAssembly · self-hosted
The Craft Apps are open-source rewrites of the tools most creative work still runs on — Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Pro Tools, AutoCAD — each written from scratch in Rust by the ArtCraft team, each compiled to WebAssembly. No install, no account, no server: the whole application is delivered to the tab and runs on your own machine.
First load is slow, then it isn't. Each app ships as a single WebAssembly binary — the sizes above are the compressed download. The browser compiles it on arrival, which takes a few seconds, then caches it for a year.
You need WebGPU or WebGL2. These render through the GPU. Current Chrome,
Edge and Safari are fine; Firefox falls back to WebGL2. Append ?webgl to force
the fallback if the WebGPU path misbehaves.
Nothing leaves your machine. There is no backend here — only static files. Files you open are read by the tab, and files you save come back as browser downloads.
All twelve are alpha software, dual-licensed MIT or Apache-2.0, and are not affiliated with Adobe, Microsoft, Autodesk or Avid. Source and native desktop builds: github.com/storytold.
